When viewing application.xml memory statistics from a Linux machine we see
But the value for free-physical-memory isn't correct. Linux will use all non-allocated memory for a file/buffer cache that is freed up. You can see this when you run free
The value for available is the true number of free RAM, where as STP reports the completely unused RAM value.

Output the available memory
The information on memory is used by Support to determine if Linux is likely to run out of memory an OOM kill the process. Reporting on actual available memory will allow engineers to have a better idea of the stability of the machine.
Use free or top to see actual available memory.
